"I've out-smarted you this time, Perry the Platypus," Doofenshmirtz crowed. He whipped the sheet off his latest invention as Perry, trapped behind an invisible force-field, watched helplessly. The revealed machine was an ambiguous pile of tubes and wires, a half-dozen recycled "Direct TV" dishes all pointing in different directions, and a large red button that dangled from a single wire.

"I have invented the--" Doof threw his hands in the air with a flourish. "Do-Nothing-inator. No one can stop me! When I push this button--" he extended a crooked finger toward the red button that was clearly labeled "Self Destruct." "--my -inator will--" He frowned as his myopic genius caught up with reality, lowered his hands. "Do. Nothing."

Doof dropped his head in sudden despair. He gave a desultory tap of the button which swung on the wire for a second, then fell off. It landed on the floor with a clink and rolled under a pile of boxes off to the side. "Curse you, Perry the Platypus," he mumbled. "Curse you."
