In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Drop a link to your wish-list in this post. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

  • More fills on [livejournal.com profile] teenwolfkink for the prompts that don't involve Derek/Stiles. This pairing gets so much attention that it's swamped the fandom and has made the fandom a difficult, even uncomfortable, place to be for those not into that pairing. While some of the prompts there are mine, most are not. So, this request isn't about getting my prompts filled. It's hope that the fandom can be broadened to be a friendlier and more inclusive place to more people and types of fans, which is one of the driving forces behind my own writing.

  • More TW gen fic, especially that involving plot and character development. There are only a handful of us who write TW gen which makes for limited reading choices.

  • A 2012 wall calendar with each month featuring a different character and representative quotes from the show from or about that character to hang in my office. This request is for me, but I'd be happy to share.

Day 3 was a challenge to comment to someone you haven't interacted with before. I did this and have been doing it ongoing as part of Yuletide and TW fandom in general.

Day 4 was a challenge to introduce yourself to someone you admire in fandom and friend/follow them on whatever platform you use. I'm sorta sitting this one out because I've already done it--just not this month. Everyone I currently admire is already on my TW flist, and/or I chat with them on AIM, and/or I'm involved in very long PM conversations with them.

Day 5 was a challenge to share something non-fannish that you are passionate about. As of yet, I haven't been able to come up with anything to share since, though I have interests, there's nothing I do that I'd apply the word passionate to. And my interests tend to be things I've dabbled in, but not within the last several years.

Day 6 was a challenge to rec at least three fanworks you thought you wouldn't like, but did. I ... don't really understand this one. I go into every fanwork thinking I might like it, except for the ones I don't bother with at all (usually because the author flat out announces that it's badly written and/or because it contains an egregious Mary Sue).

My sympathies about the dearth of gen in TeenWolf fandom; it's a common thing in a lot of fandoms, and it's kind of depressing when one likes reading and writing gen. It's pairings, pairings, pairings everywhere.

I'm sorry I can't write you anything, alas, since I've never even seen TeenWolf.

Good to see you again, Kathryn!

I'm with you on the pairings, pairings, pairings thing. I don't like the assumption that fandom has developed that all things must start with and be about pairings rather than characters.

Alas, I wouldn't recommend TW to you. Obviously I think it's a good show, but it's werewolves, and I don't recall that being up your alley.

Hope your holidays were well and that your New Year is off to a shining start.

ETA: And your icon ... I needs me a TW version of that.

    Not really into werewolves, no.

And your icon ... I needs me a TW version of that.
(grin) I made a few on the same theme....

Alas, alas. I'm sure we'll meet again in the fandom fields someday. Eventually, I'm bound to fan a show that doesn't have werewolves or vampires. Until then, hope all is well and stays well with you.

Think it's worthwhile creating a teen wolf gen community? Or would it end up being just the two of us?:)

It would be you, me, and cbassluv. Beyond that ... who knows? Might it might be worth it anyway.

Oh. You mean like a physical calendar? I'd love to do one for you, but other than making it graphic I'm not sure how you'd get it physically :/

Haven't visited TWKink in months... almost scared to look.

I'd like a calendar I can make physical, but that's easy enough to do on my end. If you could make the pages, I could print them out. All you'd have to do is email me the files.

Edited to add: If you did this, that would be totally awesome! You might be able to hear my squee all the way on your side of the world.

Ah. it's no big. I've been dying to do some graphics related stuff for Teen Wolf for a while. I was going to do a challenge for Tumblr but that didn't happen..not enough motivation, this would help. Let me know if you need it to be a specific size, I'm used to the 500px width limits of Tumblr.

The standard paper size here is 8.5" x 11". As long as the graphics fit on that size (or smaller), the rest doesn't matter.
