argentum_ls3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
I feel like these questions weren't meant for someone who's poly-fannish and/or a long-time participant in fandom.
My favorite characters are the ones that any given story seems to need. Often that's the main character, especially if I'm writing for a fest or exchange where prompts don't specify characters. Usually my favorite will be the one for whom there're unanswered questions within the canon.
Looking over the fandoms for which I've written more than a handful of stories, my most frequently written characters are Lucien LaCroix & Nick Knight (Forever Knight), Methos (Highlander), Toby Logan (The Listener), Scott McCall & Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf), Adam Newman & Lisa Davies (Tomorrow People '92), and Stephen Jameson & Irene Quinn (Tomorrow People '13)--who are mostly the main characters of their respective shows. However, my favorite Teen Wolf character to write is Coach Finstock, even though I've only included him in a few stories, and my favorite Highlander character is Richie, for whom I have only one extant story. So, clearly favorite to write isn't the same thing as favorite.
