Promo: Remix Redux

My fest/exchange sign-ups for the year remain apace (though follow through hasn't been as good as usual). Next up is remixers_lounge, open until the 17th. For the first time, there was no nominations round, which means sign-ups are open to any eligible fandom. Eligibility still requires a minimum of 5 stories of 500 words or more or 7 stories of 100 words or more in any given fandom.

Currently, I'm eligible in and requesting:

Highlander: the Series

The Tomorrow People (2013)

The Tomorrow People (1992)

The Listener

So far there are offers on the first three, which I honestly didn't expect. A few people on my friends list here are into the other two, so if you're one of them and you'd like to throw your stories into the mix, I highly encourage the opportunity for the small fandom attention.

I keep going back and forth on whether to sign up for this. I think the only things I'm officially eligible in are SGA and SG1, and I don't write the popular pairings in either. On the other hand, I could hope they'd just happen to choose to remix one of my smaller fandoms. You never know.

There's no requirement to write the same fandoms in which you're eligible. I've been watching the sign-ups closely and I'm almost certain that I'll be pulling my Teen Wolf offer, simply because I also don't write the popular pairings. As long as you have a fandom you can match on for sure, and one that's being offered that you're willing to write, you're good.

I did, although I keep reconsidering as I read my old fic, and feel sorry for the person assigned to me!

Bad or mediocre fic is preferable (to me, anyway) because it gives more to work with.

I hope the person assigned to me feels the same way. (I don't think most of my older fic is outright bad, but there's definitely some mediocre fic in there.)

Fic can't all be shining stars. I know I have more than a few less-than-stellar pieces on my works list. The way I see it: at least the remix will probably be an improvement.
