Dear rarepairfest writer,

This letter is still a huge work in progress! I'm so sorry for inconveniencing you out of the gate, and I'll try to make up for it by giving you a lot to work with. I signed up at the last minute, so I'm way behind on pulling all my info together. Feel free to browse my other fest letters; the basic info of likes and dislikes is the same, and there may even be prompts that can get you started, if you need them.

Likes: Plot, h/c, whump, secrets revealed/discovered, lying by telling the truth, angst, drama, family drama, real world situations (parental-dating, high school is hard, starting college/moving out) complicated by the supernatural, humor, casefic, trapped!, running out of time, unexpected allies, trope inversions, ratings of R or lower for sexual material, strong friendships, friends with benefits, canon divergent AUs, canon based stories, crossovers.

Dislikes: PWPs, E or NC-17 rated sexual material, extreme jealousy, crack, non-con, non-canon AUs, character assassination/bashing, torture!porn, Sterek, permanent character maiming or death.

In all cases: If you would prefer to write a friendship rather than a romantic pairing, I'm onboard with that.

H2O: Just Add Water

I requested Any for this and I mean it. Possible pairings include:

Cleo Sertori/Lewis McCartney
Emma Gilbert/Ash Dove
Rikki Chadwick/Zane Bennett
Bella Hartley/Will Benjamin
Nate/Charlotte Watsford

There is nothing about this where I'm picky. With only a handful of stories on AO3, I can't afford to be. Besides, it's mermaids! Show me the ups and downs of being in a mermaid/human relationship. Show me how relationships that are tested in the normal world by normal concerns (friends who don't like your boyfriend, parents who don't like your girlfriend, going to university, getting a job, moving) are tested all the more when one of the participants isn't always human. Show me how water and full moon fever and ambergris and anything-you-want-to-make-up-about-mermaid-mythology cause problems for our couples, and show me how they make it through (or how they decide that they shouldn't). If you want to write about more than one of the couples, have at it. If not, that's fine, too. I'm partial to Emma/Ash and Bella/Will, but I really do love them all in their own ways.

Since we're dealing with mermaids, tail!kink is juuuusssst fine.

Also, I'm aware that Charlotte is only canonically a mermaid for a short while. Perhaps she seeks the ability out again, or perhaps she and Nate got together/worked together while she was one, or maybe she only lost her tail for a little while and Nate's the one who discovers her when it suddenly returns.

Teen Wolf

Pairings I requested:

Isaac Lahey/Danny Mahealani
Cora Hale/Lydia Martin
Danny Mahealani/Scott McCall
Bobby Finstock/Melissa McCall
Danny Mahealani/Isaac Lahey/Scott McCall

I think Melissa and Bobby would be terrible together. I also think they'd be hilarious together. I'd love to see Coach in a relationship. What is he like out of the classroom and off the field? Only distantly related, I think Melissa canonically has terrible taste in men, so I can see her getting with the entirely wrong-for-her person. Then again, maybe they'd surprise us. Orny Adams (Coach) once joked on Twitter that his fantasy scene to film would be for Scott to come home one day to find his mom in bed with Coach. So, here I am, helplessly wondering how these two would make it work, and what that would do to Scott. While it's not generally one of my favored tropes, fake!dating to deal with Agent McCall could be a lot of fun with these two.

Cora and Lydia are the two smart-asses. I think their relationship would volatile and heated. I'd love to see how they would come together and what they would do with any obstacles that got in their way. Prompts: Lydia uses her powers to save Cora's life; Spring Break, Costa Rica. It's strange enough to run into someone you thought you'd never see again, and more-so when that someone is on the opposite side of a dead body; Lydia has questions about werewolves, so turns to the only one she knows who isn't interested in trying to protect her from the answers.

Isaac/Danny and Danny/Scott are my two serious pairings. I think that both sets of guys could be good for each other. I also think they could be awesome as a poly. I'd love to see these guys' personalities play off each other and to see how they grow and develop under the others' influence. Also, I'm always interested in werewolf stories where the werewolf's control is being tested or has been stripped away. Prompts: Lacrosse camp, going off to college, traveling as a team (perhaps Isaac doesn't cope with long bus rides or airplane rides well, or Danny gets into computer-based trouble that he needs the others to help him out of, or Scott has issues as the sole team Captain now that Jackson is gone); Coach forces the whole team to go on herbal supplements, with unexpected consequences for the were-beings on the team; Danny needs to help Scott and/or Issac cover for being a werewolf.

I do have some requests here: 1) Please don't fridge or bash Allison or Kira; 2) Please don't bash Scott. By all means fairly acknowledge his canonical flaws (stubbornness, a tendency to panic when he doesn't know what's going on, etc.), but don't saddle him with the fanon ones, too; 3) Please don't woobify Isaac; 4) If you go with either of these, I would prefer if Danny has to find out about werewolves (or, specifically, about Scott or Isaac being werewolves) in-story. This one's not as serious as the other three, but I do so like "secret reveal" stories.

If you want to include background pairings, any canon pairing is acceptable, as are any of the pairings I've requested for this challenge.

The Tomorrow People (2013)

Pairings I requested:

Stephen Jameson/Hillary Cole
John Young/Cara Coburn/Stephen Jameson
John Young/Astrid Finch/Stephen Jameson
Cara Coburn/Astrid Finch
Astrid Finch/Stephen Jameson

The Tomorrow People is a show I love for the worldbuilding and concepts more than for the specifics of the canon events, so hold to the timeline if you want, or let it fly free in the wind and show us the characters on their own terms. Pre-canon/post-canon/au-canon all works. Show me the challenges of being in a forbidden relationship (Stephen/Hillary), or of trying to be equals with telepaths (any of the pairings with Astrid), or how any of the characters navigates the constant balancing of a "normal" life with the demands of being a TP. Put their powers to the test, or show what happens when their powers don't work the way they're supposed to, or when they're lost entirely. Bring in ULTRA, if you want. Jedikiah always complicates things in fun ways. Or make Luca the one who's causing problems. Send Stephen to summer camp too far away for him to conveniently teleport home, explore John's post-series amnesia/mind-wipe and its consequences, or have aliens invade. Or, do something else.

If you're familiar with any of the other versions of the TP and are up to adapting or plundering one of those storylines for the 2013 version, I definitely would not complain (except "A Man For Emily"; please don't do that one.)

For a TP story, what I'm looking for is more adventures for these teens/young adults out in the real world with powers that aren't yet made for it. I like the idea of them dealing with a whole realm of responsibility intrinsic in their powers and their advanced-human status while not really having the resources or experiences to know how to make smart decisions.

I've tried to keep things open-ended with my extra info. If you have any questions, my tumblr has a really lonely ask box with anon turned on. You can also check in with htbthomas, who knows my tastes and knows how to keep a secret.

Thank you again!
