Dear Writer-

I'm eagerly looking forward to your story and I hope you'll have a great time writing. I've thrown a lot of information into the letter here. Use what you need, but please don't try to get everything into one story, as that would be impossible.

Most of all, I like plot. I want the story to be about something besides characters getting it on. Family and relationship dramas of all stripes (e.g. new relationship negotiation, how to poly, the return of Scott's dad and how this affects Scott and Melissa's relationship, Melissa starts dating again, high school is hard, etc.) are right up my alley with the exception of situations caused by unreasonable jealousy. Awkward conversations that no one wants to have are so much better than people being asswipes to each other because they refuse to talk.

I love the established universe, so please set any stories within it. Canon divergence is fine (e.g. setting the story after season 1 or season 2 while ignoring the subsequent seasons), as are explorations of nightmares/fears (e.g. Lydia's birthday party in S2 and "Motel California"), and near-future (senior year, first year of college/first year after high school graduation). But I am not at all interested in AUs that change the status of the characters (supernatural!Stiles, human!Scott, witch!Allison, hunter!Scott's dad, etc.), the roles of the characters (academic!AU, coffeeshop!AU, mechanic!AU, etc.), or the genders of the characters.

Scott is by far my favorite character. I'm always interested in things from his POV, especially since the show doesn't provide much of that. Scott & Melissa is one of my favorite relationships (which I couldn't request because it's non-canonical in the tags). Scott+/anyteen is excellent, too. Other character POVs are fine, though I'd prefer to have a voice other than Stiles in the lead.

If you don't want to deal with a Scott relationship, there's also Melissa/Coach, Lydia/Cora, Erica/Cora, and Danny/Isaac on the list. All of them interest me in regards to how the characters' personalities would play off each other. In any listed set of pairings where there's overlap (e.g. Scott/Stiles and Scott/Isaac), combining them into a poly is more than welcome.

Pairing stories, gen with no relationships, or gen with any of the listed background relationships are all awesome. (Melissa and Coach is just as great in a story as Melissa/Coach).

Derek and Peter are not on my characters list. I don't like either of them. Mentions of them as necessary to discuss what's going on are fine, but I would really appreciate if they do not appear in the story.

Other things I don't want: Character bashing (especially of Scott), fridging of characters from a past relationship in order to make a new relationship happen, character death (characters getting near death is fine; bring on the whump); Sterek-in-any-form, non-canon AUs, epitaphs (the goalie, the Omega, the taller one), and issue!fic.

Prompts:

* Scott gets offered a cure, but it's not all it's cracked up to be. (or, Isaac, Erica, Boyd, or Cora get forced to take a cure, with unexpected consequences).

* Being an Alpha comes with new urges (such as a desire to bite people?) that Scott needs to learn to handle.

* Normal high school unpleasant situation is exacerbated by the approach of the full moon, or the presence of wolfsbane, or mountain ash, etc. (e.g. sitting the SATs, getting hazed, having the school newspaper/blog do embarrassing expos´e;s, etc.)

* Scott (and/or other werewolf) has to keep the werewolf secret from someone while in a situation where everything is working against them.

* Post-S2 - While still adjusting to Scott being a werewolf, Melissa develops reason to think that Scott is the one who bit Erica (and/or Isaac and Boyd) and she's less than amused.

* Melissa's involvement in the supernatural causes conflict at work that threatens her job.

* New relationships are hard enough to negotiate without one of the members also being a werewolf.

I love every genre of story except crack and non-canon AUs. H/C, angst, friendship, humor, drama, action, and fluff are all wonderful.

If you use Danny or Coach in a story, please have them start the story ignorant of werewolves and the supernatural. Should they discover it in the course of the story, that's fine. The reveal of secrets is one of my favorite tropes, especially when the reveal must be earned. Conversely, people needing to hide their secrets from someone who doesn't, shouldn't, or can't know is also one of my favorite tropes.

I'm fine with OCs, as long as they don't take over the story or outshine the main characters.

Also, I asked for a story with a pretty low rating (< PG-13). I'm perfectly happy with a story that goes as high as R/M for non-sexual content (violence, language, themes), but I would prefer you to keep sexual content tame. While I generally like the more risque stories, I'm looking for something different than fandom typically provides from this exchange. Kissing, hand-holding, light petting, talking about sex, lewd jokes, etc. are all fine as part of a larger story.

Thank you for writing for me! XD
