I had a stack of fic I printed off from 7th D and HL Slash and, well, pretty much every fic I adored. I tossed most of it years ago now, especially since I realized I wasn't rereading any of it but had it electronically stashed on a disc.

I think Killa pulled HLFiction.net; it hasn't worked in a while, so there's another archive in limbo right now.

We're pretty much down to Ao3, FFN, and a handful of private sites and journals. :(

So surreal! It'll be interesting if the reboot happens and is decent enough to inspire people to write more.

As much as I would love some new (preferably, good) HL, I'm afraid the reboot will kill what remains of the original fandom, barring a few inevitable crossovers.

Eh, it's been 30 years and we've had a hell of a lot of weird attempts at canon, so who knows? I never expected it to last this long, honestly, but if the last Watchercon a few months ago was any judge, the original cast and crew are still game to talk about the show and its characters.

Not sure if you knew about this one: SquidgeWorld: https://squidgeworld.org/ It's the original Squdge.org site ported over to an AO3 template, IIRC.
Also, the original mailing list archive is still working: http://www.highlander.org, though it doesn't contain any of the slash or adult-rated fic.

I do know about SquidgeWorld. I'm ~pretty sure~ I have an account on it, though I cannot for the life of me recall what my login or password are.

I did not how that the mailing list archive is still working. That's great news! I'll have to go poke it and see if any old favorites fall out.
