Full Day 2 information

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Drop a link to your post in the comments. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom and maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.

There were a couple of vids I really want to rec here, but I can't find them online anymore and I don't have a lot of identifying information for them. If anyone happens to know how to find them, please share.

Fandom: Highlander
Media: Vid
Song: "Blue Monday" by Orgy
Featured Characters: Duncan and Methos
Reason for rec: While I'm not a Duncan fan, I loved the dynamic between Duncan and Methos that the fanvid creator brought out in this video. The vid, itself, was well crafted, and it's old enough that it might have been done with VCRs and creative use of a pause button (though I think it was too good for that).

Fandom: Big Wolf on Campus
Media: Vid
Song: I don't remember. The song title had the word hero in it, and might have been "Holding Out for Hero" or something similar.
Featured Characters: Merton
Reason for rec: The vidder set up the idea that Merton was going to be the one in need of a hero (as he often was on the show), then subverted that and showed how he was the hero. Not only was a Merton-centric vid interesting, but highlighting the different roles he played was refreshing.

Fandom: Teen Wolf (MTV)
Media: Fanfic
Title: No Answer
Word Count: 17,867
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fountainxxpenny
Summary: Sick of the weirdness, Melissa is determined to get an explanation from Scott.
Reason for rec: I've recced this story before and I'll rec it again, as often as I can. Not only does the author take on one of my favorite tropes (a supernatural character being outed to his/her family), but she really develops the characters' responses and reactions to the situation they find themselves in in a believable way. Furthermore, the viewpoint character is Scott's mother, so we get to see all the surprise and shock from inside her head.
