Fest: Fandom Stocking Reveals

After much weather-related strife, [community profile] fandom_stocking went live last night. To my delight, my stocking was stuffed with a variety of treats:

  • [personal profile] wendymypooh, [personal profile] sjh2009, [profile] leese_perrie, and [personal profile] twinsarein offered season's greetings and well wishes.

  • [personal profile] lbilover came through on my request for audio books with good voice artists by recommending Elijah Wood's reading of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and anything by the reader Jeremy Northam. (On her rec, I've already downloaded Our Man in Havana and added it to my iPod for the next long drive.)

  • [personal profile] somehowunbroken made me three icons for Kyle Valenti from Roswell:

  • [personal profile] tptigger wrote me a bittersweet Oliver&Tommy drabble for Arrow:

  • [personal profile] senmut offered a gift certificate for another true drabble.

  • [personal profile] brightknightie offered well-wishes, a rec for a Richie/Angie story from Highlander, and a promise that I fully intend to make her fulfill :) for a future Richie/Angie story.

  • [profile] lionnessvalenti wrote me Volatile Reactions (1548 words), a Roswell ficlet starring Kyle Valenti and Isabelle Evans, in which Kyle finally gets to come into his powers.

Overall, this was a most excellent stocking year and a peerless fest year in regards to getting stories I've waited decades to see.

Thank you to everyone who stuffed my stocking!

For my own contributions, I only managed to finish two of the four ficlets I was hoping for on time. The other two are forthcoming. Mine were: Face the Music, an original series Tomorrow People ficlet (1529 words), and Security (591 words), a ficlet for The Listener. The forthcoming ones are in Highlander and Teen Wolf.
